Eating is one of my favorite past times. I love it for its sensuality, for its creation, and for its power to nourish and heal. In this blog, I’ll be exploring food from all those views. I’ll also share recipes and share some restaurants and meals that inspire me.

My favorite breakfast that’s super healthy and high on the yum scale. It doesn’t have a name…

6 oz. Salad greens
1 Green onion
1/2 c. Bean sprouts
1/2 c. Carrot
1/4 c. Radish
1 c. Cucumber
1/2 c. Chopped peanuts
1 c. Cooked brown rice
3 Scrambled eggs whites (or warm grilled salmon)
2-3 T. Balsamic vinaigrette (Vinaigrette des Follies)

Cook your brown rice. Chop your veggies and throw them in a large serving bowl. Add your brown rice while it’s still warm. Toss the veggies and rice with the vinaigrette. Top it off with the warm scrambled eggs and serve immediately.

    • Yes, Ma’am! The first time I had salad for breakfast was at this great cafe in West Hollywood called Hugo’s. They took a bed of greens and tossed it with currants and saffron rice. YUMMY! Also, at Axe in Venice, they serve the greens with warm brown rice, loads of veggies and grilled salmon. I replaced the salmon with eggs and it’s my favorite breakfast ever!!! And the opportunity to sneak in so many raw, cruciferous veggies is just perfection. Thanks for your comment, Lila!
